The Presidency of the Republic of Sudan is considering the development of telecommunications infrastructure in the region (9th of May 2018)

Chairman of the Board of Directors of AACID, Mr. Kadhim Zain along with members from AACID Executive Team have attended a meeting at the office of Dr. Hassabu Mohamed Abdalrahman, Vice President of Sudan. The meeting discussed the development of telecommunications infrastructure in the region, The Meeting was attended by HE the Minister of Telecommunication, Dr. Tahani Attia, and Representatives from NTC headed by GM: Dr. Yahia Abdalla. Other VIP Attendees were heads and delegates from all Mobile and Fixed line Operators in Sudan. Mr. Kadhim Zain, said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the means of developing the infrastructure of the telecommunications sector to meet the international standards and also the competition of the major international companies in the field of telecommunications in the region, Mr. Kadhim added that the meeting dealt with the development of a study concerning of the continental fiber link between the Sudan, Chad, Niger and Algeria to Europe which aims to make Sudan the international gateway for the region.
