AACID and NOKIA Networks have won the swap of MTN Sudan network – both 2G and 3G, in various regions around Sudan.
Arab African Company for Investment and Development (AACID) & NOKIA Networks embarks on a joint project to partially swap telecommunication equipment’s in more than 859 sites around Sudan, for MTN Sudan starting in 2019. Beside the swap the deal covers future network during the next five-years and maintenance services.
The network swap planned to be completed during 2019. Implementation service offered by NOKIA Networks and MICT (AACID subsidiary) to MTN Sudan includes installation, commissioning, integration and testing.

The complete renovation and upgrade of MTN Sudan network in the designated areas will allow the company to offer its customers in Sudan the best services, more innovative products and services, significantly improved coverage, higher network capacity with a predictable cost structure for the operator.
